This is an extensive work for a new TV station in Angola. Everything from logo to storyboards were designed based on functionality and the connection with Angola's historical roots.
TVZ was born to be a multi target station with a deep connection to Angolan people.
Designing for masses it is a challenge and it is one of my passions.
LOGO
The name Zimbo comes from a seashell used in the past as currency by the angolan people.
When I designed the logo the lines on the seashells caught my attention.

Addy Awards - Show Package - 2006
In 2006 I was commissioned by Snpa5.tv, from North Carolina to create a Show Package for the Addy Awards 07.

Here is the original concept:
Starting with concept of a child’s brain. We have traveled into the dreams of child from the 1940’s. Capturing the feelings and the world surrounding. Old toys, fancy objects and textures. Its all about a dream. No frontiers and floanting thougths with no connections to the real world.
The elements used were achieved based on this concept. From the childrens books we retrvied the opaque paper look. From the 1940s enviroment, the light, the inoscence and the glamour. The industrial process that was taking place during the 40s also helped giving the iron, steam machine wheels and glass look.
